#IBVday16 – Thank you for coming!

Our CollaBoard launch event took place on the 21st of September at the Swissôtel Zurich, Switzerland. It has been great to get to know you all, show CollaBoard’s numerous features and get the chance to explain our vision for the modern business world.

The world is changing at the speed of light and natural user interfaces are conquering offices as we speak. We believe that trend will continue to gain popularity. This is why we created CollaBoard, a real-time virtual desk designed for Surface Hub, working also on Windows 10 devices such as laptops, phones and tablets.

CollaBoard (now available on the Windows Store) is THE place to collaborate, brainstorm and work on your projects in real time with your team, all while holding meetings on Skype for Business. It’s where you can use natural input methods such as inking, voice and touch to put down your ideas and be much more efficient. It’s the digital workspace where you can pin your documents, expand sticky notes to the size of huge canvases, create file libraries, record video as well as audio, take photos and drag and drop files from your system. We expect it one day to also make us coffee.

At the event our COO Michael Görög demoed CollaBoard on an 84’’ Surface Hub: likely the most immersive team device available on the market at the moment. To describe what working with CollaBoard on a Surface Hub feels like, we can only say: imagine being so focused that everything else around you loses importance – on a constant basis. This is what happened to our meetings since we started using CollaBoard and this is what we want to offer our clients.

If you didn’t make it last week, you can download CollaBoard here and join our Insider Program to receive an exclusive discount. Also, stay tuned to hear about our upcoming events.

After CollaBoard and the Surface Hub, it was time to see some HoloLens in action. Our Lead Developer and Emerging Experiences Microsoft MVP Gian Paolo Santopaolo held an inspiring presentation on Augmented, Mixed and Virtual Reality and how they will affect our lives in the future. This is exactly in line with our vision, as gaze and gesture are natural input methods, too. But with HoloLens, it’s about the endless possibilities of creating alternative worlds in your backyard.

Imagine a device able to recognize your surroundings and then build holograms based on them: what would you do with it? Visit the sun? Turn your living room into a tropical beach? Travel without moving from your sofa? We look forward to hearing about your ideas and helping you realize them.

Last but not least, the event closed with a spectacular keynote from our CEO Andreas Görög, and there, our marketing team was actually taking notes. Listening to our CEO is like looking directly into the future, and there is nothing more interesting than that for a bunch of technology enthusiasts like us at IBV. We will not spoil it: come listen to Andreas at our next event and judge for yourself.

Thank you for coming, and see you soon!
